Laura Wolf delved into the inspiration behind the song, sharing, “The image that initially sparked this song was that of being an unnoticed attendee at a social gathering—feeling both the relief of keeping to oneself yet simultaneously yearning for, and being let down by, the absence of meaningful interaction. As I fleshed out the lyrics, it evolved into a narrative about finding one’s self-worth despite facing discouragements and sometimes feeling insignificant.”
