Musician Rob Grant, known for being Lana Del Rey’s father, has unveiled his fresh track titled Lost at Sea, set to be featured on his upcoming debut record, which is slated for release tomorrow (June 9). The song, dubbed ‘Hollywood Bowl’, is one of the pair of songs on the album where he collaborates with his daughter, following their earlier joint effort on the album’s namesake track. The track is available for listening below.
In the melody ‘Hollywood Bowl,’ Lana Del Rey lends her voice to lyrics that reflect on her performances and her father’s musical prowess, singing, “Twice, I performed at the famed Hollywood Bowl/ And my father’s piano echoes Billy Joel/ Young or old, it’s a tale told by my heart’s and soul’s control.” The creation of the tune was a joint effort by Del Rey, Laura Sisk, Zach Dawes, and Jack Antonoff.
Rob Grant took to Twitter to express his enthusiasm for the new track, stating, “This track stands among my favorites on the album! The vocal prowess Lana showcases is remarkable. From a gentle piano intro, the song crescendos into a soaring release… it’s music that elevates and transports you.”
